1. Water Treatment Plant Supervisor (2 Positions)
Grade: C1 | Department: Safety, Health, Environment & Community | Reports To: Environmental Officer
Job Brief: Supervise the safe, efficient and compliant day-to-day operation of the Water Treatment Plant, ensuring effective treatment of mine-impacted water, proper chemical dosing, equipment reliability, water-quality compliance, sludge management and accurate operational reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day WTP operations in line with procedures and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate WTP start-up, normal operation, shutdown and restart activities.
- Monitor flow, pH, water levels, chemical dosing, turbidity and treatment performance.
- Supervise chemical (lime, flocculant) preparation, dosing, storage and safe handling.
- Optimize dosing based on raw-water characteristics and jar test results.
- Monitor coagulation, flocculation, settling and clarification processes.
- Immediately report and respond to abnormal water-quality or discharge conditions.
- Supervise WTP Operators and allocate daily duties.
- Coordinate with Engineering on preventive/corrective maintenance.
- Supervise sludge handling, storage, dewatering and disposal.
- Ensure safe chemical handling, PPE use and good housekeeping.
- Maintain accurate WTP operating and reporting records (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Support environmental audits, inspections and investigations.
- Participate in chemical trials and process optimization activities.
- Support commissioning of WTP upgrades and new equipment.
- Identify training needs and coach WTP personnel.
Requirements:
- Advanced Diploma/Diploma in Environmental Engineering/Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Process Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years' experience in water/wastewater treatment or mining water management, including supervisory experience.
- Practical knowledge of pH correction, coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration and sludge management.
- Experience in chemical dosing and optimization (lime, coagulants/flocculants).
- Understanding of water-quality parameters (pH, turbidity, flow, conductivity).
- Knowledge of chemical handling, PPE, SDS requirements and spill response.
- Good computer skills for data recording and reporting.
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work flexible shifts, including nights.
2. Asset Protection Guard (18 Positions)
Grade: A2 | Department: Asset Protection | Reports To: Asset Protection Team Leader
Job Brief: Protect the Company's people, property, assets, production areas and facilities while supporting the prevention and detection of theft, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform security duties at assigned posts and locations.
- Protect employees, visitors, property, equipment and production areas.
- Control and monitor access/exit points per Asset Protection procedures.
- Conduct authorized searches of persons, vehicles and items at control points.
- Monitor and report suspicious activities, breaches, theft and damage.
- Maintain accurate occurrence books, registers and access records.
- Conduct patrols and maintain continuous observation of assigned areas.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies within scope of training.

- Must be a Rwandan citizen.

- Formal security training/certification (security organs); first aid/fire safety training an advantage.
- Physically fit and medically able to stand, walk and patrol for extended periods.
- Good communication, observation and situational awareness skills.
- Ability to write basic security reports.

3. Shift Lubrication Technician (1 Position)
Grade: B2 | Department: Engineering | Reports To: Maintenance Shift Supervisor
Job Brief: Carry out planned lubrication, inspection and basic condition-monitoring activities on equipment within the gravity tungsten recovery plant bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, crushers, screens and gravity recovery equipment to reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Planned Lubrication & Inspection
- Ensure lubrication tools and equipment are clean and serviceable.
- Inspect lubrication points for leaks, contamination and signs of failure.
- Lubricate bearings, gearboxes, chains, couplings, pumps and conveyor components correctly.
- Carry out scheduled lubrication routes per maintenance plans and OEM recommendations.
Lubricant Selection & Contamination Control
- Use only approved oils/greases for each equipment item.
- Prevent cross-contamination using dedicated, labelled equipment.
- Maintain proper lubricant storage practices.
- Report incorrect, contaminated or insufficient lubricant stock.
Condition Monitoring & Defect Identification
- Escalate critical defects immediately.
- Assist with oil sampling and basic condition checks.
- Report abnormal temperature, noise, vibration, leakage or seal failure.
Preventive Maintenance & Reliability Support
- Assist maintenance personnel during planned activities.
- Contribute to preventing premature component failures.
- Support lubrication route optimization and criticality reviews.
Shift Operations & Plant Support
- Coordinate with operators and maintenance personnel.
- Complete shift handovers and communicate outstanding tasks.
- Respond to lubrication-related breakdown/urgent requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Record all lubrication activities, inspections and defects accurately.
- Maintain lubrication route checklists.
- Support development of lubrication schedules and registers.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Comply with HSE standards, LOTO requirements and PPE use.
- Report and prevent oil/grease spills and contamination.
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks.
Training & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain competency through relevant technical training.
- Share knowledge with operators and fitters.
- Identify and assist with lubrication practice improvements.
Requirements:
- TVET Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting, Lubrication, Maintenance or related field.
- Certification in industrial lubrication/condition monitoring is advantageous.
- At least 2 years of industrial maintenance/lubrication experience, preferably in mining.
- Practical experience with rotating plant equipment (bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors).
- Good knowledge of lubricants, application methods and contamination control.
- Ability to identify signs of equipment deterioration.
- Ability to read lubrication schedules, manuals and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, communication and teamwork skills.
- Working proficiency in English.
- Physically fit for plant/mining conditions; willing to work shifts and overtime.
4. Maintenance Planner (1 Position)
Grade: C1 | Department: Engineering
Job Brief: Design, schedule, and coordinate the planned maintenance workload, building and maintaining the Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS), preparing work packs, and ensuring the right job is executed by the right team at the right time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine the PMS based on OEM recommendations and operating data.
- Plan and schedule weekly/monthly maintenance work, balancing PM tasks, corrective orders and production priorities.
- Prepare detailed work packs (scope, parts, tools, procedures, labour hours) and coordinate maintenance windows with Production.
- Generate, release and track work orders; manage backlog and report to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Coordinate spare parts availability with the Storekeeper; monitor consumption and recommend MIN/MAX corrections.
- Track planning KPIs (PM compliance, schedule compliance, MTBF/MTTR) and produce weekly reports.
- Maintain CMMS data integrity, job plans and task libraries; embed safety/PPE/LOTO requirements into job plans.
Requirements:
- A1 Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics or related field; Bachelor's degree an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or a hands-on maintenance role with planning exposure.
- Proficiency in CMMS/EAM platforms (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Pragma, Fiix) and advanced MS Excel/MS Project skills.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and auto-electrical systems; ability to read P&IDs and OEM manuals.
- Highly organised, analytical and able to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
5. Asset Protection Administrative Officer (1 Position)
Grade: C1 | Department: Asset Protection
Job Brief: Provide professional administrative and operational support to the Asset Protection Department, with a focus on security administration, information management, investigations, reporting, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the department.
- Support implementation and monitoring of Asset Protection policies and standards.
- Maintain accurate security records, files, databases and correspondence.
- Coordinate daily security reports, incident reports and investigation files.
- Support investigations through documentation and evidence management.
- Liaise with security teams, Control Room personnel and other departments.

6. Lamp Attendant (2 Positions)
Grade: B2 | Department: Mining
Job Brief: Ensures lamps are in good working order and issues and controls lamps for use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure lamps are charged, clean and fully operational; arrange repairs as needed.
- Issue lamps to employees and record accordingly; maintain clean charging bays.
- Follow required procedures to meet production targets.
- Adhere to work/leave schedules and comply with Company policies.
Requirements:
- Senior 3 education level with at least a TVET certificate in Electronics or Electrical.
- At least 6 months' experience as a Lamp Attendant preferred.

7. Production Team Captain Assistant (1 Position)
Grade: B3 | Department: Mining
Job Brief: Support the Production Team Captain in managing miners, ensuring safety, and achieving daily underground ore production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and coordinating daily tasks for underground miners.
- Monitor safe work practices; assist in pre-shift safety briefings; report hazards.
- Help maintain discipline, teamwork and professional behaviour.
- Record underground mining data and assist in daily shift reports.

Job Brief: Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing pumps and associated piping networks essential for water management in underground mining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission pumps, piping systems and water management (drainage/dewatering) systems.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical/hydraulic issues.
- Participate in system upgrades and efficiency optimization projects.
- Provide training and technical support to junior team members.
- Document maintenance activities and report recurring issues.
- Comply with health & safety standards; be available for on-call emergency repairs.
Requirements:
- TVET Certificate III in Fitting or related field; certification in pump systems/hydraulics an advantage.

9. Plant Operator (10 Positions)
Grade: B2 | Department: Metallurgy
Job Brief: Operate and monitor all stages of the gravity concentration circuit to ensure optimum recovery and product quality, while maintaining safety, environmental and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor crushing, screening and gravity separation units (jigs, shaking tables, spirals).
- Adjust water flow, feed rates and equipment settings.
- Perform routine checks on pumps, screens, tables, spirals, jigs, conveyors and crushers.
- Ensure concentrate, middlings and tailings are properly handled.
- Record hourly readings and collect/label samples for analysis.
- Report unusual plant behaviour and assist maintenance during shutdowns.
- Follow safety/LOTO procedures; wear correct PPE.
Requirements:
- Any Certificate in the Mining field.
- 1–3 years' experience in plant operations, specifically gravity concentration plants.
- Knowledge of gravity separation principles and process equipment.
- Basic understanding of pumps, slurry handling and plant parameters.
- Trustworthy, safety-conscious team player with basic mathematical/writing skills.
10. Plant Sampler (4 Positions)
Grade: B2 | Department: Metallurgy
Job Brief: Collect, prepare and deliver accurate and representative samples from different stages of the gravity processing plant for metallurgical analysis and process control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect samples from designated points (feed, tailings, concentrate).
- Ensure samples are properly labeled, sealed, logged and delivered to the lab.
- Record sample information in logbooks/digital systems.
- Communicate abnormal results to the Plant Supervisor or Metallurgist.

Job Brief: Responsible for fabricating, assembling and repairing steel structures, machinery and piping systems in mining operations, with strong emphasis on safety, precision and welding expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble steel structures, frames, chutes, pipelines and other components per engineering drawings.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on steel structures, conveyors and heavy equipment.
- Apply MIG, TIG and arc welding techniques for repairs and modifications.
- Ensure work complies with safety policies, industry standards and environmental regulations.
- Maintain tools/equipment and a clean, hazard-free work area.
- Document activities and report issues to the Welding Supervisor.
- Support and train junior boilermakers/apprentices; be available for on-call repairs.
